tuesday, 30 June 2020

The act amending some tax regulations due to the appearance of the coronavirus has already been published in the rulebook and will enter into force tomorrow, July 1, 2020.

Changes will be made to several taxes.

Change in VAT rates from July 1, 2020

In the case of VAT, some services are reclassified to the second reduced rate. Up to 10% of the tax rate will now include:

- Accommodation services
- Passenger transport via ski lifts
- Entrance tickets to performances, theaters, circuses, amusement parks, concerts, to museums, zoos, cinemas, exhibitions and similar cultural events; tickets to botanical gardens, nature reserves and national parks.
- Tickets for participation in sports events; use of indoor and outdoor sports facilities for sports; services related to the operation of recreational parks and beaches.
- Services of Turkish baths, saunas, steam baths and salt caves

VAT was reduced in some cases already at the beginning of May - VAT was reduced, for example for catering services, draft beer in restaurants or hairdressing and hairdressing services.
